Biography

Cantua's most recent research project concerns the opening up of Dutch garden and landscape architect Mien Ruys' archives and the preparation of her biography.In the first phase of this project the records of Ruys' archive were transferred to the department of Special Collections at the Library of Wageningen University and Research Centre (WUR). The records were documented and the data made accessible by entering them in the TuiN database.
A two-year grant was received from the Dutch State Fund for Architecture for this part of the project, which ran from September 1, 2003 to August 31, 2005. Grants for the second project phase, comprising the research and the preparation of a manuscript for the biography have been applied for.
